Obsessive distiller Bryan Davis invented a contraption for aging booze − fast. His goal: To create highly engineered, rapidly prototyped spirits that are unlike any you’ve tasted before. Wired commissioned Kevin Cantrell Studio to assist in expressing this through typography unlike anything you’ve seen before. Inspired by the art deco roots of Davis’ machine, KCS and Wired developed a modernized deco look and feel imbued with a sense of speed, which is also reflected in the photography and line ornamentation.
